  1. I read the book several times when I was a kid. But for some reason, I never could remember the ending to it. I remember most of the plot, but when I tried to remember how it was all resolved, I just never could quite remember what happened. Then it dawned on me: the reason I can’t remember what happened at the end is because it was B O O O R R R I I N N N G !!!!!

Incidentally, the sequel to the book, A Wind in the Door, is probably where George Lucas got the idea for Midi-chlorians from. Because it features microscopic creatures that reside in mitochondria that somehow were connected to the cosmic force.

    • I just realize something: How come IT wasn’t a giant spider that turns into a psychopathic clown?

    • Hollywood Ugly/Awkward: Hermione Grainger much? Because Hermione was supposed to be kind of ugly and awkward (why do you think she winds up with Ron instead of Harry?), but they just had to get cute-as-a-button Emma Watson to play her. Here’s an idea, Hollywood: CAST SOME ACTUALLY UGLY KIDS TO PLAY FICTIONAL UGLY KIDS!

That’s not quite right: Hermione was never supposed to be “ugly” but just have unruly hair and slightly large teeth. By the dance scene in the 4th book, she is described as “beautiful” after straightening her hair and shrinking her teeth.

But real ugly kids aren’t likely to try out for acting on TV anyway because they’re too insecure.

    • I think Oprah Winfrey’s character was supposed to transform into a Centaur to give the kids an aerial view of that one planet. But that would mean that Oprah would have to be Not Oprah for a few minutes, and there’s no way they’re going for that!

  2. I’ll admit it’s been awhile since I read the book but wasn’t there a scene in the book where they wrinkled to a world where they were two dimensional? Or was that from another book?

  3. Disney made both versions of A Wrinkle in Time (2004) and now.

  4. I saw the Disney Channel one once and I hardly remember it, left no impact on me whatsoever.
