  1. One big problem with the premise: anethesia awareness only affects general anesthetic, which knocks you out, with local anesthetic being what stops the pain. Most hospitals double up (i.e. they do both local and general) to ensure that even if you were to wake up during surgery, you still wouldn’t be able to feel anything. The point of general anesthetic is to stop you from flailing around during surgery.
