A lot of kids grew up with it, but is this nostalgic hit as good as you remembering it, or lying through it’s teeth? The Nostalgia Critic sees if Big Fat Liar still holds up.

As we’ve learned painfully from the Raiders of the Story Arc of “Superman: The Animated Seires,” for every review of something good the Critic does, he has to make up with a review of something ludicrously horrendous.

…Might I suggest “Leonard Part 6” for next week? It’s the one thing in Bill Cosby’s life that he is truly ashamed of. Yikes.

  2. never gave this movie a chance.

  3. I grew up with this movie and even in middle school they were still showing it. This is the first thing I think of when I think of Paul Giamatti. I can even quote many of the lines in this movie. 😀 Also, I honestly think that John Cho’s character was supposed to be a parody of John Woo with the doves joke now that I know who John Woo is.

  4. 1:51 Ah, Smashmouth. Hollywood shoved you down our throats so much
    (Mystery Men, Shrek, Rat Race)
is it any wonder that we threw up?????
2:08 No Beavis and Butt-head joke???? It’s the 90’s, Doug!!!!!
4:55 Ok, I’ve seen a cop working with a kid, a cop with a dog,
a cop with an alien (both comedy and action films),
a cop with a dinosaur (Hi, Whoopi!!!!!)
Hell, we need a cop working with a chicken film. MAKE THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!
5:59 How fast were they able to produce, film, and edit this fake film????
It’s only been (arguably) a couple of weeks??????
10:25 Yeah, that’s a parody of John Woo, all right.
11:06 Still milking that Sean Young joke, I see. Wait a minute,
OMG!!!! I SHOWED YOU THAT SEAN YOUNG YOUTUBE CHANNEL!!!!!!!
YOU ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION TO ONE OF MY COMMENTS!!!!!
I WISH THERE WAS SOME WAY THAT I CAN PUT THIS ON A FRAME!!!!
(You see what I did there.)
15:35 Seriously, no “spank monkey” joke either; are we watching the same movie, Doug????
16:01 Well, there’s the doves. Ready when you are, Mr. Woo.
17:34 That’s the best way to describe the difference between DOCM films and Nickelodeon films.
Disney is more interested in character and morals; Nickelodeon just wants to make jokes.
(I’m not saying that is horrible; IMO, I like (most) Nickelodeon films better).
