Cinema Snob: Fangs (Egyptian Rocky Horror Picture Show)

The Cinema Snob tries making sense of the Egyptian version of The Rocky Horror Picture Show!

About thecinemasnob

Brad Jones portrays The Cinema Snob, a pretentious film snob who is stuck with reviewing Z-Grade exploitation flicks of the past. I'm a big guy. For you.

  1. Is it me or does the guy playing Egyptian Brad look more like Egyptian Doctor Frank N. Furter?

  2. A Paperboy reference? Well played, sir

Good review mr.brad but very disappointed you didn’t use a gayracula reference(since gay and all)!!! Love the help me mommy jokes and I’m pretty sure next weeks review is man with a golden and gun(if it’s not then shame on me).

  4. Wowza. That movie seemed… odd.

Granted I have no idea what the story actually is since it’s in Egyptian Arab. So it might actually make perfect sense. But from your review the only thing it has in common with Rocky Horror is the basic setup and the shirt.

  5. Excuse me, but the translation of this movie is completely wrong. It has NOTHING to do with the movie.

I am only at 3:48 but i had to make this comment because of how wrong it is.

He DOES NOT say “god fucking dammit Janet. i will tolerate you”.

He says “your love has made me live in a world that is more beautiful than dreams”.

and the next line at 4:16:

He doesn’t say “i will take you on a journey”

He says “The youth these days think that life is colored pink”.

Sorry Brad, but as Arab myself, I can not continue watching this review because i think the one who did this translation is a troll. I hope you redo this review please 🙁

    • Brad added the subtitles, it’s a running joke that every time he reviews a foreign movie he adds joke subtitles and acts like it’s actually what they’re saying (since he doesn’t actually know).

    • Could you tell us what this movie is actually about then?
Kinda lost track on the plot halfways through

    • Unfortunately they are all doing it, all people who review foreign movies with no subtitles and those who don’t understand the language. I am a former russian from Germany and saw several reviews about the russian Hobbit or movies featurely the 12 horrible years of Germany, all with false subtitles. I was aware already that it was here the same. I wonder if there is a version of this movie with real subtitles. I still wouldn’t call Brad a troll cause of this, since it is kinda a running gag, not the best one but still a gag.
Can you please inform us, how the actual plot goes and what the songs are about?
      Thank you.

  6. Right after the nazi stock footage, Brad drools a little.

  7. It’s not drool, it’s the milk! He didn’t wipe his moustache!

  8. Reviewing a movie about vampire’s in Egypt and yet no Jojo’s bizzare adventure reference’s, I’m disappointed snob, very very disappointed.

  9. Review “The Cat” – it is a 1992 Hongkong movie. And it looks just awesome.

  10. 6:22 Looks like Billy Dee Williams if he had played Harvey Dent after becoming Two-Face.

It’s funny enough that no matter how many times Brad adds these subtitles someone always thinks it’s the actual dialogue, but I LOVE that this time someone above knew the translation wasn’t right and still didn’t realize it was joke! That just makes it even funnier.

  11. 07:50 Did this turn into Egyptian Manos The Hands Of Fate?
