Final Fantasy XV Spoiler Free Review – MarzGurl

Nearly two months after Final Fantasy XV’s release, MarzGurl throws her hat into the discussion of the game. Is it good enough to be a Final Fantasy in its own right?

From what I understand from both what I have heard before this and what you said in this is that FF15 game has pacing issues and that story and characters suffer from open world aspect. I am happy that there are some linear section because I don’t really care about open world games in general and I play JRPGs for story and characters. So FF15 is basically reverse FF13. Still as most mainstream game in franchise it’s no wonder that FF15 is best selling title in franchise.

I like good stories, too. A good story should compliment gameplay, not supersede it. If story is the only important aspect, why not just make a movie, or a TV series? To me, the whole point of RPG – especially considering that they were created from games like Dungeons & Dragons – is to have a world to explore, to have choices to make.

To me, Final Fantasy’s heyday was between FFVI and FFVII. Both had good stories, involving characters, and decent gameplay. To me, these are what FF games really should aspire to be.

Only Fire, Lightning, and Ice magics? Yep! Definitely influenced by Elder Scrolls. Can’t have any earth-based magic, now can we? That might actually remind us of the Four Classical Elements that have been the hallmark of Final Fantasy games, since, oh, I don’t know… THE ORIGINAL NES FINAL FANTASY!

Have you ever played a Final Fantasy game?

They invented that system you idiot 0_0

Yes, technically other FF games have supplementary second row elements, but again.. it was second row. They never use four elements as basic magic trinity.

Funny, because you’ll note I mentioned THE ORIGINAL NES FF right there in my post. Jackass.

What a horrible review. Not only does this bias show that you ignored the great support that FF13 got, but you basically shat on Nomura (Who had created Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth By Sleep). Then after words, proceeded to just blather on about clearly shitty thing that were untrue about FF15 and FF13 while making yourself look like the almighty judge of all things video game development wise without CLEARLY KNOWING WHAT HAPPENED. Seriously, the fact that you thought FF Versus XIII was part of FF13 DESPITE it being said to go against the franchise and not… Read more »

Nomura is a joke, friend. You’re young now and your standards are low (which is why you think bringing up Kingdom Hearts is beneficial to your argument) but give it a few years and you’ll get to my place. The man himself still has the mannerisms of a shy Japanese cartoon girl. He won’t stop touching his face in interviews and dyes his hair orange. His meekness disgusts. Even you could go up to him and grab his woman by the pussy.

Actually, if you had actually bothered to do a little checking, you’d know that FF XV was always intended to be in the same universe with FF XIII; it was changed after being in development hell for so long, and XIII getting sequel after sequel.

So actually, Heart-Lightning, if there’s anyone here who sounds like he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, it’s you. So take your biased bullshit and hit the bricks.
