I'm pretty sure Mr. Warmth himself would appreciate that. Ya hockey puck. XD
Tim Pigott-Smith, who appeared in Alice in Wonderland, has died.
Adam West, who played Bruce Wayne and Batman in the 1960s Batman series, has died after a short battle with Leukemia. It is this iconic role that gave him a memorable guest stint on Batman the Animated Series's "Beware the Gray Ghost", which landed at #11 on the Top 11 Batman TAS Episodes. He also appeared as Principal Schwinger on The Adventures of Pete and Pete (how recurring was it?)
Doug just did an editorial on Family Guy too.
Yeah but it wasn't pertaining to West. It was more about MacFarlane than anyone in the cast
John G. Avildsen has died sadly. He was the director of Rocky (which though the original hasn't been directly reviewed by Nostalgia Critic has shown up in varous videos most specifically Top 11 Fuck Yeah Music Themes) and The Karate Kid. Featured in New Vs Old: Karate Kid, Nostalgia Critic Sports Movies and a couple of other videos. Rocky V (also directed by Avildsen) is also one of those Nostalgia Critic that have been frequently requested and though Doug and Rob admit it's the worst Rocky movie it's also the most boring thus not one they'd want to ever review.
I'd say New vs Old counts. Good job, sir.
Wally Burr has died at age 93. He was voice director for the original Transformers series, covered in Raiders of the Story Arc, and provided some additional voices. He also provided the voice for a newsreel in Pearl Harbor.
George A. Romero, director of Night of the Living Dead, has died at 77 from lung cancer
Martin Landau has died at 89. Ed Wood was Doug's 17th favorite film
Harvey Atkin, best known from Meatballs but was the voice of King Koopa on the Super Mario Bros Super Show, has died at 74
John Heard, most relevantly from Sharknado, has died at age 72
June Foray, legendary voice actress of Granny from Looney Tunes and Rocky the Squirrel and founder of the Annie Awards, has died at the age of 99. She also voiced Lucifer the Cat in Cinderella, and Magica de Spell in DuckTales (well, she did appear in the intro, not that you got to hear her voice in it but still)
She also reprised her role as Rocky in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Glem Campbell died today. Though mostly known for his songs and prime time variety show in the 60's and 70's he was also Le Beouf in the original True Grit (covered in New Vs Old True Grit) and Chanticleer in Rockadoodle.
Ironically, Magica's first appearance turns out to be in episode 6, while Doug/NC has only covered the initial 5-episode serial
Jerry Lewis has passed away at age 91. Among other roles he was the star and director of the original Nutty Professor which was covered in Old Vs New: Nutty Professor.
