Hollywood is trying to do a live-action Ghost in the Shell.

You'd think after the backlash against the American Akira they would have learned. Not to mention attempts to do a Neuromancer movie crashing and burning repeatedly.

I wouldn't worry about that. That's a completely separate project that has nothing to do with FUNimation.

So did Dragon Ball and Ghost in the Shell. Those turned out fine.

The hit they took wasn't 4Kids.

They took the live-action hit, though. Were those shows ruined forever as a result? No.

Again, they didn't have the first impression done by a company known for hacking the show apart and only doing a half ass job of it.

DBZ and Ghost don't have that first blow. They have established fans with quality to begin with.

    One piece does not.

Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry released this week for a very limited time with the subbed and dubbed version released on select dates. And as excited as I was about the announcement, I unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to see it in theaters. Nevertheless, I cannot wait to see it when its released on DVD/Blu-ray. But for those who did catch it this week, what do you guys think?

Just because Sony owns the majority of shares from the company doesn't mean that there's going to be a whole tone of changes. If you look at the FAQs on the subject, you would see what is happening with Funimation
