Glad to hear that you liked this year so much. I'm not too keen on "A Horse with No Name," either. It always sounds like a knock-off of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. I much prefer "Sandman."
It's a shame about Chuck Berry, too. His other songs are way better than "My Ding-a-Ling." Especially "Johnny B. Goode," which I thought for sure was a bigger hit, but apparently not.
Aw, man, I actually like those Nilsson songs. But I get why some people might not like them. Actually, my favorite song by him is "You're Breakin' My Heart," if only because I love singing the chorus to everyone who has ever done me wrong.
Agreed with pretty much all of your best choices and best runners-up, though I had no idea that "Nights in White Satin" took so long to chart. Wasn't that song originally released in 1967 or something?
