  1. This video really made me realize why I’ve never gotten into Game of Thrones (besides the fact that I’m juggling too many shows already). I am not a fan of bleak. Heck, even Gotham gets a little too bleak for me sometimes. But I still found this video a little entertaining despite that.

  2. Having read the books before the series, I have to note that they did manage quite a loyal translation. I’m not so bothered by some of the shift in scene or even the cutting of quite a LOT of characters and smaller arcs; It’d be a nightmare to cast and shoot otherwise.

I am a little irked now and then when they start shooting ‘outside the books’ for teasers and information that’s not been divulged yet. But mostly because it peaks my curiosity and I want to learn more about what they just showed in these past two seconds.

I’ll definitely not miss the ungodly long time George took in the book for the wake of Tywin Lannister that was pretty much skipped over in the show 😀

Still, when I heard of the first episode, and I saw the name of the man they cast for Ned… I was not surprised.
