  1. I’ve never seen Game of Thrones but my mom loves it. Go figure. That’s why I’m so glad that you included clips from the episode. It was super easy to understand what you’re talking about.

  2. The Oldtown part was both too long (poop-soup) and too short (books), but it was needed to establish the importance of Dragonstone. I did get a very “Lost Season 6”-vibe from this part: showrunners keep doing what they’ve been doing all along and then suddenly realise that they have 1 episode left to wrap everything up…

My prediction: crazy Greyjoy will bring Tyrion to Cersei as a gift, Cersei will try to kill Tyrion and Jaimie the Kingslayer will become a Queenslayer too.

  3. Lyanna Mormont’s strength comes from her mother and older sister. After Geor took the Black and Jorah was disgraced and exiled, it was up to Geor’s siter Maege and her daughters to run the place. Maege and her older daughter Dacy left to fight (and eventually die) for Robb Stark, Lyanna was left as the Lady of House Mormont. I’m sure her uncle might have been an inspiration, but everything she learned, she learned from her mother and older sister.

This isn’t actually that unheard of on Bear Island, since according to something Maege (or Dacy, I forget) tells Catelyn Stark in the books, that the men would often go out to fight or hunt/fish, and it was up to the women to protect their homes. I seem to recall mention of a statue on Bear Island of a woman with a baby in one arm and a spear in the other. Or something awesome like that.
