Yeah, Guns’ N Roses peaked on Appetite for Destruction for sure. Use your Illusion had a really solid single disc of songs once you distill it down from it’s gluttonous two discs, and even then a lot of it sounds dated now.

Even when Use Your Illusion came out, music was changing dramatically for the hard rock genre. Alice in Chains, Faith no More, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, were on their way in as Motley Crue, Def Leppard, and Bon Jovi were on the way out.
