  1. I don’t know why they felt obligated to change “Philosopher’s Stone” to “Sorcerer’s Stone” in the American version. It’s not like we don’t know what the Philosopher’s Stone is. We did have Fullmetal Alchemist and The Slayers over here.

“By Grapthar’s Hammer, by the Sons of Warvan, YOU SHALL BE AVENGED!”

  2. Wow. First the Dom, now you. I’ve never seen a Harry Potter movie all the way through.

  3. Since you and the Dom are both doing these at the same time – any chance of a crossover?

  4. I’d say most of the Potter films suffer from the first half exposition problem. You sometimes get the feeling that Harry shows no initiative to learn anything about this world until someone else mentions something. He’s never heard of a portkey until his fourth year and then its suddenly important that year. He gets the map the same year that one of the guys who made it is a teacher and another escapes from prison.

The thing about this film is that if you look at it from a certain angle, it appears Dumbledore set the whole thing up. Why send Hagrid to get both Harry and the Stone at the same time? Why leave the mirror where Harry could find it? Why send Harry the cloak?
