Midnight Screenings: The Gift

Brad and Brian talk about the new thriller “The Gift,” from writer/director Joel Edgerton.

About thecinemasnob

Brad Jones portrays The Cinema Snob, a pretentious film snob who is stuck with reviewing Z-Grade exploitation flicks of the past. I'm a big guy. For you.

  1. The movie trailer gives away ever single ‘twist’ 😐

  2. I haven’t seen it, but based on the trailer, I’m not really surprised of the twist. I still feel compelled to see it since Stuchmann’s review, if not more.

  3. He used to bully him as a child? That’s it? I guessed that from the trailer already, it was REALLY obvious, why are you talking about it like it’s an amazing revelation?

  4. Loved the movie, one of the better thrillers I’ve seen recently. I feel it does an excellent job of keeping you off of your feet.

Personally I don’t think Edgerton’s character did the potentially life changing thing he may have done at the end, I think it would push his character too far into the darkness, I don’t think he would do that to the wife, who treated him far better than Jason B. Also at the hospital they showed the baby had blue eyes (even though they say many babies start with blue eyes and their eyes get darker w time)
