Spike and Rarity are adorable together, but I don’t think they make my top 5 ships. Number one for me is Rarijack, mind you, and Rarity is part of that ship.

In addition to probably being the quintessential “Spikity” episode, this episode factored into a lot of the IDW Comic’s “Nightmare Rarity” arc, which is considered one of the best arcs in the series. The Fire Ruby itself makes another appearance in that one.

It could be a animation error, but it is worth to point out that in 4:19 we see clearly a element stone amongst stuff horded by Spike. The interesting thing is that similar “mistake” occurred also in the Two Sisters Castle in the earliest scene when we see the sealed stones, and with the Twilight cutie mark after she become a princess. Or it is not a mistake! There is a theory that there may be a seventh element what do have sense for many reason. I love how Spike’s physical size is directly related to the size of his horde, like it’s something that naturally happens to dragons, possibly so they can protect said horde and add more stuff to it.
