  1. I like this and the points you make. One thing I have a problem with, though, is the use of the word “ally”. It just feels like it’s setting things up to be a war, or at least a war mentality. I understand that some people try to make it into one, but it feels more reactionary than well thought out and something we should try to avoid as we push for our rights. If you make things into a war, then the group that disagrees with you is going to push back rather than try to see your side and be persuaded by your arguments.

    As for half-naked guys in gay rap videos… I see those more as satire since they are, in many ways, poking fun at all the half-naked women in straight rap videos. I actually find it funny.
