  1. As much as I admit to seeing the first Scooby-Doo movie in theaters, I passed on seeing the sequel: the same can be said about Garfield.

    • I was wondering if this review would have a connection to the review of the original movie, and it’s nice to see what Vladimir Jackson has been up to since the events of The Cinema Snob Movie.

I take it from the intro of “You Just Got Psyched” that it’s to cop shows what Scrubs is to medical shows.

Seriously, Doug, stop with the Pokemon hate and stick with the Teen Titans Go hate.

Gee, Critic, thank’s for spoiling the ending to us. …I’m curious, do you get a boner every time you crush your viewers expectations? ‘Cause to tell you the truth, I did NOT see this movie from start to finish yet, and you just ruined it for me more that the actual movie is currently doing.

Okay, Velma wearing red leather is freakin’ hot. Also, am I the only one who does NOT see her as a lesbian, regardless of what she wears?

I actually have an excuse for the cartoon sound effects: …This movie is based on a cartoon show. …DUH!

I just crapped and peed in terror over the site of Matthew Lillard turning into the next Caitlyn Jenner. That is more frightening that the insane giggling.

I seriously did NOT know that Alicia Silverstone was the culprit this whole time. I thought that she was dressed as Batgirl. =P …But yeah, her character being revealed as the pterodactyl guy was pretty week.

The credits ending with a secret code to the video game is pretty week, too. Thank God I passed on seeing this movie, and instead wait to see Shrek 2 in theaters.

I agree with Roger when he said “WHAT THE FLYING FU-“.

  2. You know what people liked? That terrible Scooby-Doo movie! Let’s make another terrible one! It can’t fail!

  3. What? You couldn’t have squeezed in a sketch with Tamara playing Velma? She would have been great in that role!

  4. Good God, the new Ghostbusters movie is going to be very similar to Scooby-Doo 1 & 2, isn’t it?

  5. Can you talk about the MTV series Good Vibes and Daria?

And on a side note, I mention this all before, why don’t you review a classic horror like this one I’ve finally found after all these years after just seeing a few scenes of it and never knowing how it ended. It’s called Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. You might like it. Maybe.

Also what do think of these TV series shows called:
    John Doe
    Forever Knight
    The Misfits (British Show)
Misfits of Science (Movie and series)
    and The Zeta Project
(I think some of these shows are like Sonic the Hedgehog a.k.a. Sonic Sat a.m. They all have incomplete ending.)

P.S. Is there anyway you can review the Japanese versions of Ironman, Wolverine, X-men and Blade? I’d also really like to hear what you think about the FX series Archer and Chozen.

P.S.S. And I never found out if you were going talk more about the Disney Afternoon shows Gummi Bears, Chip N Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Talespin(even the hour uncut movie special I found about it) and Darkwing Duck. Also you never answer my question, If you hate the Goof Troop song: “Gotta Be Gettin’ Goofy” then does that mean you hate The Darkwing Duck Rap?

    • Of all the things to make fun of you do my favorite series Psych? Really?! Seriously?!!! Also Scooby and Shaggy didn’t run into the Pirate. They ran into Miner 49er. You also forgot to mention the only good part of the movie. Rubin for Next top Singer or whatever that reality show is called with that British guy everyone hates. And really messing with Roger like that. Not even saying why and how Roger did it. And how Roger came back.

  6. Why are people commenting that this is the critics last review? Where is the info coming from?

    • It’s a nod to how his review of the first Scooby-Doo movie was originally going to be his last, but then he brought the show back in its new format.

  7. Phantom Variant

Actually, after the first museum robbery, Alicia Silverstone’s character mentions that the museum took two years to complete. Later, the gang says Jacobo died about three years ago, so when Velma finds the photo of Jacobo in front of the museum, the audience can solve the mystery before it is revealed.
The Seth Green fake-out does work because among the photos in the shrine to Jacobo, there is one of Jacobo with a younger version of Green’s character. Being Jacobo’s former student, Seth Green has a motive.
Scooby-Doo is suddenly smarter than you remember, huh?

  8. Critic, I hate to say this, but the Blockbuster Buster did a better job reviewing the sequel than you, and he doesn’t even like Scooby Doo.

  9. That’s the Miner Forty-Niner. Not the Pirate Ghost.

  10. TragicGuineaPig

10:35 – Who ya gonna call?

  11. If there was one thing I learned from this review….

is that I gotta watch Psych.

  12. Actually proving a point is not the reason behind solving a mystery (bar science) unless you present a theory as to the answer for which you then attempt to answer that assertion. Otherwise, to learn facts is the reason.

  13. inspectorjavert

    Two things:
    1. I was expecting as cheap shot at Trump supporters but you didn’t toss one out so kudos.

    2. You lick toads to get fucked up, you might lick a frog afterward due to being fucked up but its the toad that has the hallucinogen.

  14. I actually had to watch his review of the film’s predecessor first just to prepare myself for the “obvious” hell that awaited. But surprisingly, it wasn’t that bad. Don’t get me wrong, it was BAD. But they at least tried, which is more than I can say for the first movie.

  15. It pays to pay attention to this episode, at least the Psyched cutaways. I knew about the name on the notepad because I tend to have a lazy eye, and it glanced at the notepad in the corner of the screen. I had to go back to watch Tamara (Jules) kick the scissors under couch because I blinked the first time.

  16. Man, seeing this review really made me want to rewatch Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated. Matthew Lilliard more than makes up for the two live action movies with his performance as Shaggy, it has references to the previous series aplenty, and actually manages to tell a compelling continuous narrative throughout the mystery-of-the-week shenanigans. Linda Cardellini even has a recurring role as a side character.

  17. #GiveVelmaAGirlfriend

  18. Steven_Fell_Over

Well, at least Velma’s actress went on to play Wendy in Gravity Falls, probably one of the best mystery shows ever, much less intended for younger audiences.

  19. Gonna say it now, James Roday is way better than Zach Braff. I miss psych…

  20. OHMYGODIT’STIMCURRY!

  21. Can’t credit the script for this film for Scooby and Shaggy’s real names. Those came from “A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.”

  22. Neo-stalgia Fan 1

Geez, I feel like the anti-millennial force is strong with this one. Why you try to upset us critic? We’re at least half your fan base. 😛

  23. He called the miner 49er a pirate and the tar monster oil has he seen the cartoon

  24. Not only was this review hilarious, but it was very clever with the little clues explained at the end. Once again you knocked it out of the park.

  25. You for got to have a cameo form Psych’s most important character… Pineapple.

  26. I watched a lot of stupid stuff as a kid but I managed to avoid this franchise. Maybe it was because I never watched the show. Although, I actually like all of Daphne’s purple outfit. Oh, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the show you were partly satirizing. Also, yeah, I didn’t even realize you were setting up a mystery. One last thing: Seth Green is looking good in those glasses. ;D

  27. “I highly doubt that would freeze oil”

    *Does furious research*

Nostalgia critic is… *CORRECT*. Fire extinguishers are essentially dry ice guns, and are thus pumping out carbon dioxide at about -40c. Crude oil freezes at around -80 to -90 c. SCIENCE BITCHES!

  28. The Psych spoof alone makes this review worth it. I don’t care what anyone says, I fucking loved Psych.

  29. Man it’s good to see Orlando again, It’s been far too long.

  30. “Velma interested in a guy.”

2nd Animated Scooby Doo movie, Witch’s Ghost, she was interested in a guy in that, that came out before this.
