Space Jam – Midnight Screenings

Brad and Dave review the 20th anniversary re-release of Space Jam.

About thecinemasnob

Brad Jones portrays The Cinema Snob, a pretentious film snob who is stuck with reviewing Z-Grade exploitation flicks of the past. I'm a big guy. For you.

  1. The worst thing about Space Jam for me is that I find it boring.

  2. Space Jam is a little like The Room for me: it’s bad, but laughably so. And that god damn theme song might be catchier than the Duck Tales theme. Come on and slam! And Welcome to the Jam!

  3. I loved Space Jam since I was a kid (I was one year old when it came out). I do see the problems now… but honestly, I still love it. Mostly the style over substance part, with the toons and live-action people mixed together. The animation is awesome. And even the boringness of the real world scenes is kind of endearing to me.

I don’t care if it’s not funny or if the story makes no sense… it gave me some eye candy. And I will continue to watch it until the day I die.

  4. I still enjoy Space Jam more for a “So Bad its Good” mentality, its really dated in a laughable way. It makes for fun livetweets.

  5. I don’t think I can even enjoy “Space Jam” as something that’s so bad it’s good. The backgrounds during the big game are so awful they’re distracting (my favorite are the giant chipmunks) and it’s simply never genuinely funny.
