  1. Dude, the lyrics of the original songs were so contrived and poorly written as to sound like a twelve year old writing a fan-poem in honor of something. The rhymes were so forced, they were really terrible in the movie. Sorry.

    • My first thought reading this comment was ‘RAWR troll!’ but… Well you aren’t really wrong. I thought about it and yes, the rhymes often aren’t quite right. However they still kinda work for me. For example ‘really are too much – going to do my stuff.’ Much and stuff aren’t technically rhymes, but they do both have the ‘uh’ sound.

So I guess what I’m saying is perfect rhymes aren’t always a requirement for me. If the song is a toe tapper I have fun with, I’m satisfied.

  2. MidnightScreeningsman2014

I thought the music was catchy at first, but that’s maybe because i didn’t get to listen to the whole thing.I of course can see that danny elfman made of course makes it better.great review,i love your work and i really hope that the show doesn’t get cancelled.just crossed my fingers that it doesn’t.

  3. I think Kingdom hearts does a better job handling the nightmare before christmas into adapting it into a video game.

  4. I really like this game, especially as a sim to Halloween Town in general. Shame they hid all the leaders but the whole exploration of Halloween Town makes it work. Then there’s the instrumentals which alone work by themselves. They’re atmospheric and provide more for where the songs lack. Chris Sarandon does a pretty good Danny Elfman, so I can’t complain(On Disney on Ice, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeaNR9bjxuU , Chris did the same).

  5. ::Facepalm:: I kept forgetting about this game. I saw a commercial for it, & I say I gotta have it, then I never get around to it & forget it even exists until someone brings it up years latter.

The graphics look good. That’s the benefit of cartoony styles; they age better.

Hmmm, well, since the PS2 was discontinued & this game is most likely abandonware, I see no problem with just getting a ROM of it.

  6. damn, you’re cute.
