  1. I was avoiding any mention of the movie, as I thought this was going to be another Spiderman reboot for some reason. I don’t know where I got that from, but I’m glad I saw this review. It looks really good.

  2. Quentin Tarantino movies are never my thing but I admire his aesthetics nonetheless.

I went and saw this movie yesterday because of your review.

    Spoiler ahead!!!!!!

Love Tarantino and loved this movie but it’s not the masterpiece I thought it would be. I’d probably say three quarters of this film is great story-telling but the giant plot hole at the end of the film really takes away from what I would have considered a great film. There’s no reason Channing Tatum’s character needed to wait as long as he did in the basement/cellar nor was there any reason for the other passengers too either. The movies excuse, as mentioned in the flashback that morning, is that they need to exercise patience before killing Kurt Russell’s character (as well as everyone else on the stagecoach). Unfortunately, this makes no sense when there were multiple opportunities to do so.

Outside of some comic-style blood and gore (which I didn’t feel like it fit), typical for Tarantino, I can’t complain about much else. Very glad I saw it but very disappointed in the films third act. Still worth a recommendation but not a top film for me from last year.

    Still waiting for The Revenant!
