Today’s episode: Yes, Minister! Aka Old British TV, French phrases pronounced badly, the incomparable wit of Sir Humphrey Appleby, and winning the same BAFTA FOUR TIMES.

  1. I’ve never heard of this so I learned something new. I’m not sure if I would be interested in this or not.

  2. I absolutely love this series. I’ve always enjoyed witty British comedy and I’m a political aficionado, so this series is the perfect sitcom for me. You are right: Humphrey absolutely makes the show. In addition to “Big Brother”, another satisfying episode where Humphrey gets his comeuppance is “The Key”. Even though this show is over 30 years old, the political topics discussed could apply to any modern political body.
Thanks for reviewing this show. It is a masterpiece and I encourage everyone to check it out.

  3. Yes minister is in my opinion the best british comedy ever created. I love the wordplays, the scheming, how Bernard seem to overcorrect everything, how Humphrey is apparently allergic to monosyllabic words. It’s excellent.
