It was a dark and stormy night…in addition to being a lackluster book and a terrible film AND a painful ABC TV movie to sit through.
I was on the fence about seeing this but then I saw and read negative reviews from critics I trust and was like “Nope”. Also, YAY! I can’t wait for COMMERCIALS! I’m so excited!
Not a fan of Oprah either but I think I’m done being a fan of yours. Bashing Oprah’s ego when you couldn’t let this channel’s controversy get in the way of your arrogance. Been watching your videos for, no joke, almost ten years and now I think I’m done. Not only are you turning obnoxious you’re not even funny anymore. Sad day but I guess old things have to die sometime.
Yeah! How dare he not get involved in some internet drama that didn’t involve him in the slightest? Working at the same company practically makes him as guilty as the people who actually did it! Pure, unbridled arrogance.
Well, if the Confederates didn’t want a Civil War they wouldn’t of attacked Fort Sumter then, genius.
I mean, I don’t have any clue what the hell is going on. But Doug’s attitude in the past two reviews has seemed to take a pretty wild shift, with out-of-nowhere complaints about SJWs and “getting offended on social media” that have nothing to do with the review he’s telling. It’s like he suddenly decided he has an axe to grind, and that axe doesn’t have anything to do with what he’s talking about.
I went into this review trying to see whether or not my “this is off” sense from the Jurassic Park review was just a one off or not. We got to the random Oprah bashing and I was like “well… maybe. I mean, she is Oprah, so it’s not punching down, and it’s at least relevant.” But then he managed to sneak in that random bit near the end about social media and I was like “alright, this is officially a trend.”
So, did I miss something? Did a bunch of people call him sexist on Twitter or something and now he’s on team “Political Correctness is the greatest threat to America’s future” or something? I’m not about to stop watching his videos, but this weird switch in tone seems to be undercutting the quality of his works, I find.
Agreed, kinda what I was trying to say.
This is the first NC episode I could not watch until the end. I hate this movie. I’ve hated it since the first trailer. No amount of jokes can make watching even a fraction of this footage bearable to me. Sorry but I’m going to skip this one and continue pretending that this trash never existed.
YES COMMERCIALLLLLLS!
