This week it’s another trip to the Blood Splattered Vaults as The Horror Guru takes on the original Gingerdead Man. From back in the day when he needed a better microphone and projected a little too much. Enjoy!

Many, I love psychotic Busey.
Anyone remember the show, I’m With Busey?
By the way, you should do Poultrygeist, if you haven’t already.
I DEFINITELY should. =)
Also a fantastically bad movie. Poultrygeist is near identical to Gingerdeadman in the way it plays out. Also, I believe the movie is called “rubber” and it’s basically just a tire that goes on a murderous rampage. Have you seen “Stitches the clown” or perhaps the vampire movie with Jason Mewes, “Bitten”?
Spoiler alerts, best seen with a cat in Stitches and best Barney reference ever in Bitten.
I don’t consider Poultrygeist bad, in all honesty. That movie’s a masterpiece of tastelessness. Much like a lot of Lloyd Kaufman’s work. I love it from start to finish. XD I also dug the hell out of Stitches, but I have not seen Bitten yet.
I don’t know. Busey’s best films is Silver Bullet and Predator 2.
Those are definitely two of his most entertaining, that’s for damn sure. =)
The first one’s not bad. The sequels on the other hand…….
Wiah I could post links. I have a pretty good Gary Busey Mii for Tomodachi Life.
Honestly I prefer the sequels. They reach the level of fun stupidity I had hoped the first one would. XD
As someone who just started watching your work later on in life, its really neat to see how you looked when you started and how you did your earlier videos HorrorGuru, its really interesting to watch. 🙂
I am becoming such a big fan of your reviews 😀
Woot! Glad to have you on board. =)
Thanks, I have to say the best thing is when you go into facts and little histories about the behind-the-scenes of the slasher film or other horror movie you review no matter what it is. Both you and Count Jackula do, and its a nice concept in your reviews. I feel like I learning a little bit while being entertained with gore.
Yay! I glad you enjoyed that. That’s honestly one of my favorite hobbies. I LOVE Learning about the story behind the making of films and I love sharing those stories with people. =)
OMG! Prehysteria actually existed!? I thought I was crazy and was just making things up. VALIDATION!
I know, right!? I thought they were like a fever dream I had when I was a kid or something. =P
I saw one of the sequels to this franchise, something to do with disco time travel and yeah it was mst3k/rifftrax worthy.
Hahaha! Yeah, that’s the third one. I’ve been trying to write a script for that one for 3 years but have not found the right approach. The movie practically riffs itself, and I don’t have much to say about it other than I thought it was pretty funny for what it is.
I know Phelous did Thankskilling years ago, but I’d like to see your take on it, Horror Guru.
I’ve had that requested before, and have contemplated doing it for some time. Perhaps one day. =)
So HorrorGuru are you going to do a proper look at the Puppetmaster franchise at some point? Either a review of each movie or a history of the franchise all in one go?
It’s a possibility though last time I talked to him about it Count Jackula told me he wanted to tackle those films, so we’ll have to see. =)
Crossover project!
You should review the Mimic films at some point.
now we need a review of the 3rd.
Agreed. Hopefully I can get on that one day. X_X
Hey Guru have you heard of “Cheerleader Camp” I haven’t seen the movie but I would to see your take on Cheerleaders getting murdered
I have heard of it and it’s definitely prime material for a future Blood Splattered Cinema episode. =)
QUICK! Someone call Alton Brown!
sorry you were so dissapointed in it.at least the sequels way better. I thought the clip from poultrygeist that you showed was actually very funny because after the women sips her coffee the town sips there coffee(well only the adults i think they gave the kids a sugary soda or something kids like). What are your thoughts on the poltergeist remake. I think it’s stupid but what do you think
I love Poultrygeist and I agree, the clip is funny. As far as Poltergeist is concerned my expectations are not particularly high at the moment.
Horror Guru you ROCK!!! I watched every review you made and watched almost every movie your recommended! I love your review style! I also love Busey`s insanity modes (and he has a lot of them). I`d love to see you review a movie from Hellraiser series. Any movie by your choice! Keep up the devilishly good work. Can`t wait to see your new review.
P.S.
I am from Serbia, and i am not the only one who watches your review here. . . . THAT`S how well-known you are, good sir!
I really love the bombast you brought in this review. I dunno if it is the unfiltered exposure to raw Busanity or what but the energy is just there and it’s awesome.
Are we sure this isn’t Garry buoosey the movie?
