Oh yeah, and I remember a pinball machine from the late 70s/early 80s called Xenon, which, well, you’ll have to look it up online to see why the pinball scene reminded me of that little gem.
I had no idea that this movie exists after knowing the animated version well.. Thanks for cluing me in.

I’ve owned the VHS of this for years and watched it numerous times and still couldn’t tell you what’s happening half the time. I’m a huge fan of the anime version, but yeah… not quite Tsui Hark’s brightest moment. Sadly, not his dimmest either.
“Crouching Tiger, Hidden Star Wars” = funniest bit this episode. Nice.
