Breakin 2 Electric Boogaloo – The Cinema Snob

Musical March in September comes to a close as The Cinema Snob takes a look at the sequel to Breakin’ with the familiar subtitle.

About thecinemasnob

Brad Jones portrays The Cinema Snob, a pretentious film snob who is stuck with reviewing Z-Grade exploitation flicks of the past. I'm a big guy. For you.

  1. Saying “FIRST” is so overrated, don’t ya think?

We can never get enough of your angry laugh, Snob.

In speaking of sequels that were rushed into production, the same thing happened when the original King Kong was released, and we later got Son of Kong on the same year of 1933.

I hope next year, we’ll get a review on God’s Not Dead 2: The Quickening.

3:25- Speaking as a nerd myself, I find that statement very insulting.

12:31- Jesus Christ, guys. Are you like this with REAL women?

I was just thinking of the rotating room from A Nightmare on Elm Street, but I didn’t think it was the actual one from said movie. And something tells me that Cannon was gonna use this room again if they got around to making their Spider-Man film.

15:37- I’m sure Trump will act the same way when Hillary wins the election.
20:03- Holy shit, I didn’t actually expect a Trump joke to be used.

17:39- Dammit, he didn’t break his neck. BOO!

These morons should have raised money so they could make spoof on Christian faith films, with a title like, oh, I don’t know, “Jesus, Bro!”

Thank God I’m not into movies about street dancing. I’ll stick with REAL movies about dancing, like Black Swan, thank you very much.

  2. The Movie Explorer

The original Breakin’ looked tedious enough, but I don’t think I could stomach 90 minutes of “let’s save the community center from the Big Bad Developers through the power of street dancing!”

But seriously, please, PLEASE do the Lambada movies for your next MMiS! Or at least the musical version of Lost Horizon!

    • The Real Silverstar

I’m surprised Brad hasn’t done a Snob review of “Dancin’ It’s On!” yet. I figured he was going to conclude Musical March (in September) with that, since it actually beat out War Room for the #1 spot on Brad’s worst movies of the year list. It’s available on video now, and I remember Brad mentioning during a Midnight Screening that he was considering doing a Snob video on it. Maybe it’s coming.

  3. Am I the only one who thinks Ozone and Turbo look like Key and Peele? I swear, if Key and Peele haven’t done a sketch about this movie yet, they better get around to doing it some time soon.
