Hmm..after watching this review, I can’t stop wondering what a Tim Burton Cinderella would look like.
Please. No. Please.
I know, I know…but I can’t help but wonder. Like standing at the edge of a cliff and feeling the stupid urge to jump off.
The irony is this was the last of the straight-to-DVD sequels…the one that finally shut them down. One critic remarked it was kind of odd that as Disney finally seemed to be “getting it right”, that’s the note they went out on.
Yeah, as much of a mixed bag the sequels were, I kind of wish the company that made them still stuck around, if only to watch more of their amazing hand drawn animation; and at least try their hands at making original direct to home movies or at least tv shows. 🙁
Between all the anti-marketing by the bad sequels and the costs to make a good one, it probably wasn’t profitable any more.
I would have been interested to see Dumbo II and Aristocats II witch they were working on.
but they were also working on Chicken Little too.
I didn’t know what to think of Cinderella III. I had every single Cinderella movie. I didn’t know what to think about this one. The thing I remember the most about this one is the theme song from Hayden Panettiere. I actually probably need to take this movie another look since I watched Cinderella 2 just as many times as the first one. This one I didn’t see as much as since I think I was a pre-teen by the time this one came out so I was kinda going out of the Disney phase at that time.
Cinderella was the first disney movie I ever owned as a child, and honestly I really hate it to this day. It’s probably one of my least favourite disney films from my childhood. When the third one came out, my niece really wanted to rent a twist in time and I grumbled and sighed and then sat down to do my auntly duty and watch it with her… ended up really enjoying it! I’m actually glad that I caved and saw this, because it was a very interesting experience! and even more weirdly enough, this is my favourite direct to dvd disney sequel
I’ve heard this is pretty good….and it looks it. o_o
Man, roughed-up Cindarella looks kind of like Holly Would.
Uh-Oh.
Yeah, I heard good things about this movie too. Hey, the Nostalgia Chick said it was her favorite! Didn’t you see her list? She had it even worse than you! Anyway, I will see this sometime. It is much better than the others.
