I thought the movie was just ‘okay’…not terrible, but not amazing either. It’s a step in the right direction for Fox though, they didn’t completely f*ck this up like they did with Fant4stic and the solo Wolverine movies. I will say that Morena Baccarin would make a better Domino than Copycat, I think they miscast her in this flick.
If we use a relative scale of Fox comic book adaptation movies to rate this against, it’s a 10 out of 10…
…against the MCU flicks, it’s a 5 out of 10. Average, not horrible.
Great vlog guys…keep up the good work!
They were originally going to use Cannonball, but decided not to because it would’ve been too easy to write him as a dumb hick. So they looked at obscure X-men characters and had the same reaction to Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s name as Deadpool. And then they gave her Cannonball’s powers because they wanted to use them and if they’d used her powers there would’ve been ANOTHER telepath/telekinetic. And they already have Jean Grey, so for a film that would be redundant.
Copycat vs Mystique… ultimate game of hide and seek
The thing about that guy who plastered on the freeway sign: True story. Some guy in LA was ejected through his wind shield and splatted on a Freeway sign. Emergency services needed the ladder truck to recover the body. It was pretty gruesome (http://ktla.com/2015/10/30/person-apparently-ejected-lands-on-freeway-sign-following-griffith-park-area-crash/) God. But I loved the comedic timing of this scene in the movie.
