While I don’t really see the “virgin” problem (I remember the fake cop giving him a hard time and that was it; your carbon-copy-late-80s/early-90s bullies just made fun of him…because the script told them to, pretty much), I agree that aside from the fun the leading ladies are having with this film, it doesn’t have much going for it. One might say it’s the last time Disney decided to take enough of a risk to have a child get murdered in the first ten minutes, and the effects were pretty amazing at the time, but that’s it. Don’t know why my nieces have to watch it 30 times every Halloween…
