Doug walker, were you even aware that The Neverending Story was originally a book by german author Michael Ende? Because according to various sources the author hated the movie. I suggest you look up the book to see why he hated the movie.
I read the book, and I can see why Ende didn’t like the movie. The second movie kind of touched on some bits of the book as well, but still, both 1 and 2 were VERY liberal with the material. I don’t even want to talk about the 3rd.
I wish someone would remake the movie into a true to the book version, if need be, even in multiple parts.
I agree there should be a remake. One that stays closer to the book.
