I feel the need to point out that Chanticleer was the name of the cockerel in The Canterbury Tales.
I saw part of this movie a few years ago and didn’t make it very far into it.

My theory is that the owls combined their magic to make it rise without Champagne or whatever his name is. Makes as much sense anything else.
