This review is funny, as Nostalgia Critic usually is, but I have to say, Plinkett did a much better job tearing this movie to shreds. He actually uses previous Star Trek to judge it, like the fact that Data’s emotion chip existed in the TV show and looked totally different, plus was too “dangerous” to use. Another good example is how the statue his mentor gave him that was supposed to be “priceless” is carelessly tossed aside at the end of the movie, etc et tal.
2:23 Hey, what about Johnathan Archer! I didn’t think Star Trek Enterprise was all that bad, Archer seemed really friendly….except, you know, for season 3 when he turned into a cold blooded psychopath – but besides that!
I liked Star Trek Enterprise as well.
Fun fact: the reason that faces of MacDowell and the extras chosen for the scene where the Enterprise-B, as it’s being ripped to shreds by the Nexus, beams the survivors of the SS Lakul aboard look like they’ve been through an unimaginable hell than the scene required for is that, according to the commentary on the Special Edition DVD, the 1994 Northridge earthquake happened literally just a week before they were called in to film the scene.
-Data should have given the possibility to learn properly
