Having read the book, you really see how strange Tommy Wiseau is, to a point that we never learn where he came from, his origin is a complete mystery.
He’s pretty much the real-life equivalent of Mr Bean, no one knows where they come from, why they act that way, they’re just a fact of existence.
It is my belief that Tommy is a movie villain come to life ala Last Action Hero, desperately trying to be the hero of his own movie. It explains everything. The money, the looks, the completely unidentifieable origin. Al of it.
Hell, that’s the most likely explanation for him.
I really want to read the book now. This movie didn’t even come to my little ghetto town.
