I’ve just rewatched TMNT: Out of the Shadows on Blu-ray last night, and I still have fun watching it as I did in the theater. We have more scenes of the Turtles, we have Krang, Beebop, and Rocksteady, and this is already a better Tyler Perry Movie than all the Madea movies combined. And the theme song at the start of the ending credits was the perfect music to listen to just before walking out of the theater. The only sad thing is that not many people went to see it.
It’s just me, or this reproductor is very slow?

Awesome review, and I pretty much agree! The plot(s) was so messy, but so many cool ideas were suggested but never fully executed. I still really enjoyed it for all the amazing parts though and really wouldn’t mind seeing it again! If they had to change one thing in the film however, I would’ve really liked to have seen better chemistry between the turtles. Even with a messy plot and main villain, at least seeing the turtles play off each other and act like friends could’ve made it a thousand times more enjoyable! Seeing yet another “oh no it looks like we had to work together all along” or “i should have listened to you guys” moral of a turtles movie is getting really old. Appreciate the effort though XD
It’s always TMNT with AVGN. Coming out of our shells, TMNT (2014), now this. Crossovers are fuckin’ awesome.
And I really hope next is the annual commercial episode!

Best joke ever! Though I’m sure that it was a duble joke by mistake, as Shinobi in fact did use and were known from using gunpowder weapon. After Japanese Civil War ended this kind of weapon was prohibited and discarded but Shinobi obviously didn’t care and still use it.

Talking about stupid (6:46) they should address downright retarded debate about difference between geek and nerd. Yes, there is but who sane would address it like that? Also nerds are geek but not the opposite..

I always will prefer the Shredder Krang combination of the cartoon of the early 2000’s. Seeing him getting up after being decapitated was terrific. More so than Leonar being beaten to death.
He should do vlogs of the new series
Compared to the review of the first film, this one is kind of underwhelming.

Yeah! Where does Doug get off feeling differently about something than you do? Just because he has his own web series that doesn’t mean that he’s allowed to have his own opinion about anything. People are only allowed to like what you like, right?

And on a side note, I mention this all before, why don’t you review a classic horror like this one I’ve finally found after all these years after just seeing a few scenes of it and never knowing how it ended. It’s called Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama. You might like it. Maybe.

P.S. Is there anyway you can review the Japanese versions of Ironman, Wolverine, X-men and Blade? I’d also really like to hear what you think about the FX series Archer and Chozen.
P.S.S. And I never found out if you were going talk more about the Disney Afternoon shows Gummi Bears, Chip N Dale’s Rescue Rangers, Talespin(even the hour uncut movie special I found about it) and Darkwing Duck. Also you never answer my question, If you hate the Goof Troop song: “Gotta Be Gettin’ Goofy” then does that mean you hate The Darkwing Duck Rap?
When I was young, I really enjoyed the TMNT. I had the turtles figurines and never missed a episode of the reruns of the 80’s animated serie (as I was a bit too young when it first aired). I can’t believe what they did to them in those movies. I can’t even recognise them at all. I must admit that I was excited at first, when the make the announcement for the first one, but since I can’t enjoy any of Bay movies I haven’t even taken the time to go and watch them (I tried a few of his movies, but never like any of them and choose to “boycott” anything with his name on it) and by your review I can still follow what is happening with TMNT.
Stephen Amell his not a bad actor, but I think he was miscasted here. They just wanted to give some eye candy for the female audience as much as they use Fox as an eye candy for the male audience. That would also explain the fact that he doesn’t wear his mask a lot in the movie.
Thank you guys for yet another awesome review. It’s always a lot of fun when the Nerd is there (I must say I fangirled a bit about it every time. Shame on me). I don’t get why you pair Michael Bay with Zack Snyder. Micheal Bay is known for directing movies with lots of explosions and sexy women, whule Zack Snyder is known for dark comic book movies. The only common ground between them I’ve seen you mention is they both mostly make PG-13 movies, but Zack is no stranger to movies rated R. And even in Zack’s films with sub-par plosts, they’re visually appeasing.

Wow, that Ted Healy and the Three Stooges reference was oddly obscure. Not sure how many would understand that.
I thought this movie wasn’t that bad. Then again, I grew up with the TMNT CGI movie. However, I’ll agree that Krang DID come out of nowhere and that Casey Jones is bad in this. Heck, Taylor Lautner would have been a better Casey Jones. Bebop and Rocksteady were overly annoying. The 3D was amazing. So friggin good!
